Gmail is temporarily unavailable. -Taps keyboard impatiently-
See, that's the trouble with technology. We expect it to work 200% of the time, and when a huge site has a server error, we are horrified. Behind the scenes at Google Support, I'm sure people are scrambling to bring the servers up and running. But why is it not loading???!?! AFDJKSLFEIWOFJDSKj
Just kidding...I'm not that anal. What is exciting is that my roommate was on the 4:30 and 6:00 news!!!! (And probably the 9pm one as well...but I wouldn't know since the house's TV has a 2 inch by 2 inch screen. Also, we don't get cable, so I guess it really doesn't matter what kind of TV we have.) She is in the Industrial Design major, and they had two major news channels come to film them and BYU's University Press. One of them is Utah's KSL Channel, and when you click on that, the first article that pulls up is, "BYU Students Design Exercise Equipment for Seniors". In the video clip that they have on the top of the page, Meghan is the very first one that appears and she is also interviewed later.
I AM LIVING WITH A CELEBRITY! Better yet, I am ROOMMATES with a celebrity. One day, I will be like, "I did her laundry for her once", and you will all be jealous.
P.S. I haven't actually done Meg's laundry for her. But I have done her dishes!!!!!! That TOTALLY counts!!!!!

Thanksgiving! I spent it with Meghan's family. Her parents and brother Thomas drove down from Canada and were here over Thanksgiving break. Her sister Natalie flew here from Texas with her son Parker. Victoria lives in Orem, and so does Sis. Saunders' mother Grandma Bodily. This was the first time I'd met Meg's parents...they are the coolest people ever. Meg's dad went all out to make me feel welcome...and her mom is really easy to talk to. They've travelled to HK quite a few times because of Meg's dad's job. You should hear about their first flight to HK...I think they must have had about 10 stopovers before they finally got there. I had a lot of fun with them. We played a trillion rounds of Scattergories...and Bro. Saunders won every time. Natalie was a close second. Parker loves to watch Bob the Builder...and just after two times of replaying the DVD I could sing the theme song. "BOB THE BUILDER!!! CAN WE FIX IT?? YES WE CAN!!!!" Haha.
Thomas, Meghan, and Parker.
He was having fun with Meg's hair.
Eating it.
Meg's family. Her dad in the orange shirt, then clockwise from him...it's Victoria, Scott, Scott's girlfriend (I forgot her name), then Natalie reading the magazine.
Meg's mom. She's the nicest lady ever. Loves to laugh.
Parker going to his grandpa. Meg's dad is a hoot. He's awesome.
Family pictures...minus Sis. Saunders. I think she was trying to get some of them. I ended up taking the camera from her so she could get in the picture.
L to R (back row): Meg's dad, Scott, Thomas
Front: Victoria, Grandma Bodily, Meg, Natalie
Girls! Lauren, me, Sis. Saunders on the back row. The front row again in the family picture.
Sis. Saunders was making butterhorns and we forgot about the dough...it kept rising and rising. Haha.

My first words! How special. I'm going to mark this momentous occasion with a food-themed post. I'm from Singapore...where we learn to eat good food and shop like there's no tomorrow. Except that since I'm a poor college student, my shopping is more window-themed (hahahahahaah, ash). BUT! I digress. Back to food...the important stuff.
I have officially eaten a dessert every day for the past 3 days. Maybe even more (days...and desserts). Yesterday's was a Canadian Square that Margene saved for me from the Immunizations Party. It was glorious. Not an excessively sweet, total sugar overload. Just...perfect. And today, I had many, many! bites from Carrabba's Sogno di Cioccolata “Chocolate Dream”. This is its description: a rich fudge brownie brushed with Kahlua, crowned with chocolate mousse, whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
SO GOOD. Whatever happened to my Eat Less Calories Plan? Totally nonexistent. It flew out of the big, bolted front window when I took my first bite.
That restaurant is quickly becoming one of my favourites (or favorites...whatever). Tried their Zucchini Fritte? You should. It is fresh zucchini, lightly battered and fried, served with roasted garlic aioli. I had calamari two Carraba's visits ago, but it was a little bit too salty. Then again, maybe that was because I didn't use the dipping sauce. I don't remember. We sat at the grill, and the guy working there gave me Cannoli on the house. :)! Still, nothing beats the Sogno di Cioccolata.
If this makes me sound like some connoiseur of gastronomic delights, I'm not...yet. Just a little one in the making.
So there you go. Eat, drink (non-alcoholic, of course), and be merry!
